The MATRIKS, looking at it from my Perspective
Today I shall discuss about the movie The MATRIKS from my own personal point of view. Rest assured that this article would not be some 10000 word long essay discussing about the impact of The MATRIKS on our society and culture today.
Firstly in order for me to actually give my most honest opinion regarding this movie, I had to go to our local friendly DVD distributor to purchase that movie at a price of RM6. I am not encouraging anyone to support piracy, but it is almost the end of the month and my bank account is running rather dry. I am definitely not going to fork out RM80 to purchase the Original Version of The MATRIKS which I would most probably dump aside after I am done using it for this article. Unless of course readers are generous enough to donate to me their original collection of movies for me to do future reviews.
After watching the first one hour of the movie, Basically, I already have the general idea of what the movie is trying to say. This movie revolves around this guy who suffers from schizophrenia. Being a schizophrenic, he has two different personalities:
- By day, he is Tomas A. Anderson. Program writer for a respectable software company.
- By night, he is PorNeo. A porn addict who makes a living from distributing pornography. Here are two scenes from the movie to prove it:

PorNeo’s porno business dealings were discovered by the authorities from the Anti Pornography Agency (APA). APA Agents who have been watching PorNeo’s wherebouts closely decided it is time to bring PorNeo to justice. This is a scene where the APA Agents stormed PorNeo’s apartment.
Hhhmmm, I wonder if the Education Ministry of
Malaysia wants to hire new bodyguards to protect
students from Bullies.
The APA Agents faced little resistance bringing in PorNeo. The APA Agents stormed in while PorNeo was browsing one of his “favourite” site and caught him “fop”ping furiously with his pants down.
Little did the APA Agents know that when they tried to interview PorNeo the next morning, they were actually talking to Mr. Tomas Anderson. Being the other personality, Mr. Anderson was totally unaware of the who the is this person called PorNeo. When questioned by the APA Agents, Mr. Anderson stubbornly denied all charges brought against him. When Mr. Anderson demanded for a lawyer, his request was rejected . Enraged, Mr. Anderson gave the APA Agents the finger.
I’m really really pissed now. Who the I don’t know who is PorNeo and I don’t
heck is this PorNeo! How the hell would have any porn. Here, you can have my finger
I know! for free.
Personally, I didn’t think that was a very smart move by Mr. Anderson. Angered by Mr. Anderson flashing the finger at them, the APA Agents decided to give Mr. Anderson a dose of his own medicine. What happened next was rather graphical as can be seen below:
Scene 1: APA Agents struggles with Scene 2: APA Agents gets Mr. Anderson on the
Mr. Anderson. table. “What the f**k are you guys trying to do
to me?” cries Mr. Anderson. (Notice the
emotionless expression on the faces of the APA
Agents)
Scene 3: APA Agents getting on with the Scene 4: Mr Anderson, you are either going
action. (Need I explain further?) to cooperate with us or I am going to let
Agent S & Agent M here do what they do best
on stubborn guys like you. (Last chance to
admit guilty Mr Anderson)
Scene 5: Arrgghhh…..no..no...no…not that hole.
(Mr Anderson’s facial expression when given the
royal flush by Agents S and M, PRICELESS!)
